Materials / Activities

Risky play provokes the children's excitement, curiosity, challenge, and exploration.

Here are some activities to do with our preschool children using some risky materials

  • Climbing trees, high structures.
  • Running through obstacles
  • Walk on big logs,
  • Carving Pumpkins
  • Playing with hammer and nails
  • Righty tightly Lefty Loosey, using screws and screwdrivers.
  • Build a house or shelter using tires and pieces of wood.
  • Using the knife, the children can peel or cut vegetables.

These activities promote the development of physical, emotional, and cognitive skills by practicing problem-solving, thinking, focusing, and math skills. It is recommended that the children be supervised at all times when they are using any of these materials. We mentioned some ideas; there are so many activities that we can do with the children, but it is important to consider the group we are working with.
